Hmmm good thought there. I wonder if I should just get the power point changed anyway as a precaution. It can only be one of two points so it's not that much work to do it. I think being a rental property I would rather change it now than later. And your right - a moisture meter would probably have ...

Thanks for your replies, I was beginning to think it may be more a builders problem than sparky. I have actually been up in the roof myself, I have had insulation guys up there as well as solar power installed which they had to get into the roof for. (probs started well before solar power was put in...
