We're building the Bronte and currently on the plans they have the air con unit out the back but we want it on the side of the house as we plan to put a pool out back down the track. At Tender they weren't sure that the planne...

Hi Everyone, I'm adding myself to this page as my husband and I are about to sign contracts next week to build a modified Bronte 28 with rumpus room. It'll be a knock down rebuild in the South-West Sydney area. Looking forward to sharing the journey!

We were actually considering the same thing. But having picked up two sets really cheaply from Bunnings ($20 for two windows) we decided that we'd keep looking for another bargain. Also, I think that the amount of paint you might need (I envisage at least 2 coats) it would be easier and possibly mor...

We have timber floors throughout our home. They are the original timbers and we are not on a slab and our house is quite cold. My husband hates carpets, but I would like to add them to the bedrooms. I do prefer the timber floors throughout the rest of the house (we have a dog who spends a lot of tim...

Hi everyone, We currently have an old built-in shower/ bath unit in our bathroom. We live in an older ex-army home. When we do start renovating I think this unit will look out of place and so we are considering having it removed. But, in terms of a new shower/ bath (which is what we will need) are t...
