MDF skirting around your house which is standard with builders will swell when exposed to water. Timber on the otherhand has less of a chance of rotting and swelling then the mdf stuff.

luv4ever. You can make your own landscape plan in anyway as long as you follow the guidelines. Don't worry too much about which plants it's not set in stone. You can't be expected to know which plants you will plant in 6 months time... you might even decide to change your choices they are flexible.....
