I think he was suggesting that you might have been best if you purchased 2.4 or 2.7 long sleepers which might have prevented it warping so much. So is it just the capping that is warping? Cause if so maybe your best to just remove them and leave it as is.

As weird as this might sound I would think trying to get in contact with whatever company does the maintenance on the railway stations might be a good idea, seeing if they would be willing to sell railway sleepers to you directly might save you a decent amount.
