I think concrete sleeper retaining walls are a good value, sturdy option. Will last much longer than timber. Sleepers come in different patterns and plain ones can be painted to match fences etc. I'm in SA and these type of walls are fairly popular here.. hope this helps.

Hey everyone, hope your builds are going well. Does anyone know who built the retaining wall on (lot 15?) Tischendorf St? Not that I'm an expert bit it looks like they did a good job!

Hey all, good to see some progress in the estate now. We had our builder's interview last week with Fairmont and the footings contractor should be there in 3-5 weeks. I mowed our block on the weekend so no-one has any excuses to not start work on it, or charge us to clear it! Just wondering what you...

Hi 1stBuildFR - our land just settled on Friday, I'm shocked to hear that your settlement won't happen until December 30th! Our block is one from stage 2, are you from stage 3? We got a let...

My wife and I are also building with Fairmont in Field River Estate. Our block is also around 1:10 incline (from front to back though), so we have a split level (560mm dropdown I think) as you enter the kitchen / living from the hallway. Whilst the split level wasn't arranged from the start, we were...
