I'd love to get vinyl planks as I want the look of real wood but something a bit warmer, softer and quieter underfoot that will work in wet areas as well, however after some research have discovered that they can discolour if placed in areas with direct sunlight. The main area I want to put them in ...

We're looking at having a pergola on two sides of our house, so going around a corner. I haven't been able to find any pics anywhere - has anyone here got something like this?

Many years ago we lived in a rental with a fabulous island bench in the kitchen that was on some sort of sliders so you could move it wherever you wanted - came in really handy at times! It was quite stable, no wheels or anything - just had the ability to slide it without scratching the floors. Woul...

I'd love to see some bathroom pics too. I went back several pages and a lot of the links to photos no longer work. Would love a long updated thread of bathroom reno pics with links that work!

Honeyfly, if you're still out there - I promise this is my last question! What sort of flooring have you put in? It's just stunning! Since you have it in your kitchen and laundry, I'm assuming it's not real wood but please correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck with your bathroom reno and please remembe...

Anyone know if you need council approval to do this? We have several large windows we'd like done.

It has a GRIP strip that overlaps the underside of each plank which is pre glued with a glue that goes "off" when it meets the glue on the other board. It'd be an inch wide. So you just lay down a plank and put the next one down aligning the grip strip and pressing into place. It doesn't ...

Thanks cmooring, your pergola looks great but don't think it would look right at our place. Would love a "vergola" but it would be a bit too pricey for us - don't know how good the vergola "knock-offs" are.

love your kitchen/living/dining! the blue accents are wonderful, I personally love the feature wall as is and would leave it! I think the feature wall painted a neutral brown colour would really set off the gorgeous blue splashback (which I might add is exactly the same colour blue glass splashback...

We planted some Acmena smithii a few years ago for the same reason - was told they are the best thing for a fast growing screener and were told they would grow up to a metre a year. Had them for a few years and they only seemed to grow a couple of centimetres. Prepared the soil according to nursery'...

We want to put in a fairly large pergola on the western side of our house but since we don't want to block out the beautiful winter sunshine, ideally would like one of those opening systems. Does anyone have one? Pros and cons? Hubby thinks we should just get laserlite but I'm keen on the roof openi...

We have had several of our windows tinted. The tint is not the super shiney mirror like tint but a dark, reflective surface, if that makes sense! Ours is a film that was put on after handover. This means we have complete privacy during the day. No-one can see in and we can still see out. I'm not a ...
Your windows look great! I also love your front doors. Just wondering how dark the tinted windows look from inside.

Now this is getting scary - I'm in Sydney and we also have an eerily-similar bathroom and ensuite! It wasn't built by AV Jennings by chance was it? We are also looking at bathroom/ensuite renos and would love to see your after photos once they're done. I personally am so over all this dark "cho...

Just reviving this old thread since we want to do the same thing. Chocoholic, would love to know if this job has been done and whether you can recommend anyone. Our very considerate neighbours decided to cut down many of their trees resulting in a complete loss of privacy for us. We've got large full length glass sliding doors which currently have sunscreen blinds on them which we keep closed during the day for privacy but we're now thinking of getting that...
