Exciting! I can't tell from the plan, so maybe its already there, but if you're thinking you'll put a spa in next to the living room (currently shown as a garden bed), then have you thought of making the short corner window next to the kitchen bench into a servery? That way you can easily get food./...

Thankfully no sinkholes here. We just had our 6 months defects period, so I'm glad!! Our driveway on the other hand....

Yay for roof sheeting!! We did the upgrades - gold tubing, two outlets and AirTouch controller. Happy so far. No idea if the tubing upgrade was worth it.... Although considering how hot my water gets in the kitchen (travels from meter at front all the way to the back of the house) its probably been ...

Similar to our timeline I think. Roofing finished on 27th or 28th, sheeting delivered on 7th, and installed on 10th. Things happened super quick after that - glazing on 12th, plasterboard delivered by 14th.

Bit late on the reply here so might be too late for you! But a couple of thoughts from my experience: - didn't check the depth of our wardrobes so the standard IKEA wire baskets won't fit (by 5mm). So work out if there any off-the-shelf type products you want to use in wardrobes/cupboards/rooms and ...

Oh the joys of building, i think it's going to teach me a lot in the realm of patience. Got an email to say brickies have been delayed and will set out on monday and start tuesday so my hopes of anything happening this week have now been dashed. At least it is definitely next week i guess! Fingers ...
Fingers crossed for a smooth week next week! So exciting!

Ah I see, I guess that makes sense. Never really dealt with rain water tanks before. I guess it'd cost more to drop the tank then? I was thinking the same, can you dig the tank down? Or is the groundwater level too high for that..

You could spend your $1500 and find that you have no pressure issue. The water regulator specifies a very large window of 'allowable' pressures supplied to customers. There would be a significant difference in flow rates for people living in the lower pressure areas compared to higher pressure. Even...

Not even joking, i was considering going out to water it! Someone else at work said that it is worth doing to help cure it & he has seen builders do it in stinking hot weather. I'm not expecting bricks to start going up until first week of feb so bricks delivered next week would fit in with tha...

Our slab was down April 20th and bricks delivered May 2nd. Our internal bricks were placed on the slab itself, and they drive on the slab with the little brick bobcat thing so the slab needs to be sufficiently hardened first. Ideally you want your slab & foundations to cure as long as possible b...
