Hello Emmzy, We've built with PD Access and are about 3-4 weeks from finishing our house, so the amount of time we had to wait for a site start is still fresh in our minds. We were in the same position as yourself because our land was due to settle about 3 months earlier than it actually did. We wer...

Hello Matty, We are in the process of building with PD and have a facade which requires the installation of box guttering - it looks as though the Urban facade may also use box guttering. This in itself is not a problem but we've had delays as a consequence of the way in which the guttering is insta...

So 16 weeks is possible. Perhaps our SS isn't on top of his game. He has been telling us for two weeks now that the painters are on site but there certainly isn't any evidence of painting.

We're building a house in the PD Access range. From the moment we first walked into a PD sales office we were told that any of the houses in the PD Access range were built in 16 weeks. The advertising material stated 20 weeks, so we questioned this, but were assured that 20 weeks was just a precauti...

Shame on you, Wakeboardandy! The couple who have opened up the bakery need our support. My partner and I had a delightful lunch there yesterday and we would like to be able to do so again - we would be upset to think that comments such as yours would result in the bakery closing. You are entitled to...

Thanks H2B, we were booked to have a December site start but because of delays with land development we're crossing our fingers it may be January. Just been going through the contract again and noticed that there is a clause about obtaining planning approval from council. Our CSC told us that Whittl...

Thankyou for such a quick response. Is this a standard colourbond fence? We've noticed whilst driving around the estate that some fences are made of a material which resembles corrugated iron. Would you mind telling us who will be doing your fencing?

Hello, now that land has settled we're trying to get some realistic figures of additional costs. Would anyone mind letting us know how much they paid for fencing in MV? Seeing as we all need very similar fences we thought you guys would be the ones to ask.

We are!!! Waiting for Stage 80A which we were assured would be ready in September. For the last 5 weeks we've been told all work will be finished within a week, but as each week has passed the work has remained unfinished. Why is this such a big deal? Because the snowball effect (Xmas, soil test/sur...

Hi all, I think the difficulties you may be experiencing are a result of 24/7 currently undergoing maintenance as per the below posted on the 24/7 page and news and events page of the porter davis website. "Our unique 24/7 is currently undergoing an amazing transformation to give you an even b...

I find this so strange, because we had no trouble at all with the land. I think we just bought at a good time. All of the 3 blocks we looked at earlier this year have houses being built on them, including ours. :th:[/quote] Unfortunately, we haven't been so lucky. We were assured upon signing our co...

Thankyou for the advice. We have been told by our CSC that our builder uses a private surveyor to organise building permits, so although we can't start building until land settles, it would be nice to know that there will be nothing stopping them once it does. I guess this wouldn't be an issue if la...

Thanks for the reply, Erin. Would anyone have a more definate understanding of the building permit? We have approached our CSC several times about this particular topic, but she seems quite inexperienced and a little bit hesitant in seeking answers to our questions.

It looks like we'll be running to a very tight timeline as land has not been finished and we are booked in for site start in the first week of December. If all goes to plan, the developers should have land ready by the end of the week and land should be titled in the next 3 weeks. So settlement will...

Same here! We were initially told land would be available in September but we're still waiting. The most frustrating part is that they don't seem to be working on the blocks.

I'm totally confused. From the moment we first sat down with the PD sales agent we were told we would need to pay $1000 ASAP to guarantee a site start in December. We were under the impression that by paying that $1000 our house would begin that month - isn't that why they offer a guaranteed site st...

Who are you building with? We were advised by CSC that PD don't have any site starts left until well into next year.
