I too would favour the cyprus pine option. It would look far more attractive than T/P when oiled. If you did go with the T/P and paint then you would still have to maintain it every couple of years with a fresh coat, more so if you did paint it a dark colour like monument. Hi I was wondering if someone can tell me what the standard and tolerances are for the distance between internal doors and flooring. Got mine from good old EBAY. Even with the hire of large trailer it was still heaps cheaper than going through retail/trade pricing. Bought external wall insulation direct from foilboard. Hope this helps??

Our valuation came back around the $120k....lower than the rates value. Not happy campers when we worked that out ::angry:: Even tried contacting the bank to ask how we challenge their valuation. However, we're still waiting for a reply from them in relation to that request........10 months later!!!...

Try Stairlock International based in croydon. They are a no frills type of manufacturer, MDF or oak veneered base board. They also cater for the owner builder too.

OMG!! Where has that last few months gone too?? I've been so busy working that I haven't really had time to get on the computer and post anything. Change of jobs has helped the house along as I now contract for a stair company installing them Monday - Thursday then work on the house Friday - Sunday....

Yay! Tiles are on site now, all 70+sqm of them. 600x600 tiles for our side and std 400x400 form MIL's side.
