double glazing and glass bricks

From our reseearch, I'd say that the double glazing will be more energy efficient than the glass bricks so long term costs will be cheaper. And for resale value, I know a lot of people hate hte glass bricks so it wouldn't be a selling point. Other than that, I have no idea - sorry!

you can get accoustic bats, too, but I don't know how much price difference there is. Connecting the plaster and floorbaords (ie ceiling and floor abvoe) to different beams helps minimise vibrations (and nosise), too

Where are you Greg? We have been researching windows, too. We have chosen ones that can tilt and rotate - fully acccessible to clean theoutsides from inside the house :) Very high thermal rating without using e glass. They also have restirctors so the windows will only open so far for security reaso...

How to pack?
Move Management

Having moved a number of times, I'd suggest packing things from each room together - so all kitchen stuff is in boxes labelled kitchen; clothes are marked with name's bedrooom and so on. Then boxes can be placed in the correct room and things are found much easier. I used to have a notebook and woul...

Can you insulate the walls? Maybe carpet the floors, too. Curtains over the windows will keep some heat in too. Good luck to both of you :)

I read up on some technical stuff (eg bench heights) looked at kitchen showrooms for ideas and looked at shops of specifications of stoves etc. I enjoyed doing it myself, but it was time consuming. As a consumer, I'd want to be be very res...
