It cost just over $3,000 to add eaves to one side of our house, which is roughly 20m long - so yeah, I wouldn't be taking a front door as compensation! I am building with RedInk too, we are just at construction phase - no slab yet! They've been pretty good so far, no real complaints. I wouldn't stress about site costs. You aren't necessarily going to have to pay that amount, they are just allowing for more in case site works end up being more expen...
