CathyP, We used a company called SteelChief for our shed (3x3m) with gabled extension. We found them very easy to install and price exceptionally good. This shed was the 4th shed we have built over the years at different places and we have used multiple other companies. Steelchief allowed customisat...

Roxy those drawers are atrocious! No way you should accept that. Obviously the cabinet maker has gone for worst case scenario. It doesn't actually look like the plumbing is in yet. The cabinet maker should wait for plumbing to go in before measuring the drawers. The plumber should also be advised th...

Hi Sunshine125, I'm sorry that you've been left in such a horrid situation. Your $80K stormwater looks very overpriced if it is just those 2 concrete pits. I hope the solution is to your liking and I hope it is done quickly. You should be able to get your keys at least if you've paid PCI progress pa...

Hi Gibson, PCI has to be only minor defects and omissions. Such works should only take 10-14 days and must mean that your house is able to be lived in safely. If Masterton can't complete in 14 days file a complaint with OFT. That will give them tight deadline to complete all tasks (don't make any ti...

I've heard a few bad stories about Clarendon, but they seem to have better overall review on productreview.com. than Masterton We built with M, our friends built with C. We shared extensively about our individual builds and have seen both sides from all angles. Go with Clarendon, they were better a...

Anyone in Jordan Springs need nice clean fill this week? We're putting in a pool (in Emu Plains) and will have about 70tonnes of beautiful soil (no clay or rock), excellent fill, good for compacting, available on Wednesday. Able to be delivered free to good access site (large trucks). Pm me if inter...

Re modular fencing we used Wallmark and installed ourselves paid 10% of your quote for 20 lineal meters at 2.1m and 2.4m. They do an Urbanwall which is an easier install (slots in horizontally, rather than lifting vertically). May be worth your while to compare. Good luck and pm if you want more det...

Hi Bleaky, We were a few months down the track when we filed but the Inspector said something along the lines that items on the PCI list should not be outstanding past 2 weeks and we could've filed then. Maybe give Fair Trading a call. Good luck

Hi Bleaky, Your best bet is to file a complaint with Department of Fair Trading listing all your outstanding items (a copy of items from PCI ideal). An inspector will come out (along with Masterton Rep) and all items will be agreed or disagreed on. Masterton will then have set timeframe to fix agree...

Hi, Make sure you liked things from the Builders standard range as sometimes their standard selections are from the 1980's and can be expensive to upgrade. You may want to upgrade your architraves & skirting as the ones selected are quite narrow (maybe compare size at display homes). The tiling ...

Does anyone know if Ms trades work even if M are on shut down Hi MGardz, We had tradies working Xmas Eve and back again after New Years, so M was only able to claim about 4 days of their 6 week shutdown. It depends on where you're up to in your build as to how affected you will be.

We have PGH Pearl Grey bricks with monument gutters (PGH barramundi tiles), dune down pipes and fascia. We did a blue grey door (almost ironbark in colour). Our garage doors are dune as I preferred them to be less obvious. http://i577.photobucket.com/albums/ss214/MrsRose_photos/Picture705.jpg
