One other thing that wasnt in your original list was to get all carpets dry cleaned at your current rental. You mentioned you were going to have it done at the new property though :) V Thanks! I definitely forgot to include that. If I am too busy to organise a steam clean, will the real estate agen...

Make sure you start organising gas now! We just rang up about ours and they said there could be a 4-6 week wait, if there are emergencies that pop up etc. We are hoping it isnt going to take that long because we were hoping for 22nd of May handover! Hope you are going well. Wow how do you manage to...

We went with Allianz. Our house cost just under $200k to build, and they were saying inusre for $350k - $400k (can't remember exactly now). We ended up insuring for $300k, we feel that should cover a rebuild, and any site cleaning costs. Our bank recommended $250k. We also got contents of $30,000 (...

Hi Wallace The only thing I can think to add is to call council and organise for your wheelie bins. Good luck with it all :D That's good call. Thanks for the comments, Actually, I am choosing just the Urban Options (with Exceed 49 offer for $9,000) NOT the Edge Series ~ as I couldn't afford that ~ The house design I am choosing at the moment is the Rouge 001 at $221,500 with the $9,000 exceed 49 offer (a 33.7sq house), whereas the Edge Ser...

Hi, I had been looking for builders since early this year when I was in a rush to settle my land, and luckily I had my land settled already back in April this year and it's all titled. After a lot of visits to see different builders (BIG to small), last week I had finally came up with UrbanEdge, Bou...

I love the walk through pantry, My house will have this, because its great with shopping and when my daughter gets home from school she will empty her bag and we would leave the bag in the pantry ready for the next day. but you need another linen cupboard. To help with the internal access through pantry issue, you could move the laundry down to where Bed 2 is, move the bathroom down and have bed 2 sharing a wall with bed 3. It would reduce the size of bed 2 though. This would create internal access through the laundry instead of the pantry. Just a th...

Dear all, I am a bit confused about how this works? If I love several floor plans from different builders and put all of them into a single floor plan, who owns the copyright of the floor plan? If I modified a floor plan to move the bedrooms around, then how does the copyright issue work? For most f...

Seems like you're determine to go with big M!! yes, you may have 35k left, but, have you actually asked Big M how much extra will cost you to make those changes?!?! I remember Dale said it before, big M won't allow you to make many changes in cheaper range. There's no point of asking for opinions n...

Thanks for all the feedbacks ~ I am the type of person who loves Master Bedroom in the back, and I love the house to be bright and warm when entering the house. Hi Wallace, What about a third option - neither? I didn't think you could afford a house that big and M3tricon won't do the changes cheaply either. If you have a bigger budget now then well done. We also considered a couple of new estates at Deer Park but Deer Park is on the V Line, so that would have to be a last resort. Actually V-Line is not as horrible as you thought, I used to think the same as you, but since I moved to Melton 6 months ago, actually I get used to taking V-Line train no...
