Thanks elemist for all the information! :) When you say traffic signals at the main entry road, are you referring the armadale road/fraser road intersection? When we signed the contract, I thought they were saying that it may only be a "left in, left out" intersection? I am taking this as ...

Hi all, Can anyone please advise me how is the title going for those in release 1 and 2? Is still on time or there is a delay? For those in release 1, when you signed the contract, were you told that title is going to be in June 2014? If so, is still on track to be titled in June 2014? I am trying t...

Hello SRK, We bought in Release 3 and there was also a need to have the 6.38mm laminated glazing in all of release 3 blocks. The builder that I have spoken to quote me $1600 to have 6.38mm glazing to the house. I believe this requirement is not the same as the noise attenuation requirement of which ...

By the way, today I had a discussion with Big Kev about the stepdown to garage. He said he thinks that garage without stepdown is not ideal because of water drainage, especially if the driveway is sloping down towards the house. I did ask henley to make my house to have a stepdown to garage and they...

It appears quite a few people have no step down. I've done some searching and can find roughly equal the number of people who have flat slab and want a step down, and people who have a step down and want it flat! another thread on the same issue: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&...

I read that it depended on whether the Driveway sloped away from or towards the house. ie. if your house is lower than your driveway, in a downpour the runoff could easily overload the drains and backup into your garage, and then the house. If the driveway slopes away then no such problem. https://...
Yes you would think that if it is not compliant to BCA, it would be caught out during building permit approval.

Just wondering. Do you have a stepdown to garage in your house? We had our tender last week (monaco q1) and the tender presenter said Henley houses do not have a stepdown to garage anymore. The garage will be same level as the rest of the house. I think this mean they reduce the height of the whole ...

I'm surprised so many people would chose tiles over colourbond. I have a house with each and hands down the colourbond is better. I climbed into the roof space of the tile roof in winter and was amazed at how draughty it was. Any heat that makes it past the insulation is lost. Also in a storm I hav...

No worries. Yeah we also thought, since its only $100, might as well upgrade to R4.0 I have called my admin person to change our rooftiles to colorbond yesterday. I hope i have made the right decision! It ends up costing me $500 cheaper because in williams landing, we are only allowed to use flat ro...

Oh thats right, you have your colours today!! I almost forgot. How did it go? Did you end up choosing rooftiles? My admin person told me today to upgrade ceiling insulation from R3.5 to R.4.0 batts only cost $100. So if we choose colorbond, we will upgrade our ceiling insulation to R4.0. This should...

Hi FND, After much talking to my brother, i'm now back to square zero and leaning towards having concrete roof tile... Sorry for being so indecisive. I know that there might be some added insulation if we use colorbond which counter all the points above. So it all goes back to your choice. Hi mtz08...

Had a coincidental chat to my daughter this morning who was telling me that a girl in her new pastoral care room at school had tarps on her roof due to some of the tiles being damaged during the wild weather here. However just to be fair I am sure there were cbs as well, just heard her say that ran...
Thanks for letting me know TashnStu77. Maybe this is a sign that I should go with colorbond!
