I know the Decos can be configured to be WAP, but I must confess I don't know what the difference is between setting them up as WAPs vs as a mesh? I would have thought the mesh allowed for smooth coverage as I move from room to room? That was something I found weird in the marketing page of these, ...

Just jumping on to this thread as I'm also at a similar point in trying to understand and decide what's the best way to configure my home network. I wish I had of spent some money on trying to get better insulation for the house, never really crossed my mind to be honest. But makes alot of sense as it was the best time to do it during the build.

If setup in WiFi Router mode they can't all be connected on the other side of a switch as mentioned, they would need to be setup in WAP mode (Wireless Access Point) then they should work just like any other WAP. I would be running a dedicated cable to each one rather than running each one off a sepa...

I wouldn't worry about loss on cables over 100m as your average house would rarely have a run this long. For places that might only have 1 port but multiple devices a cheap unmanaged switch etc would be the go, yes it will be limited to the 1GbE connection coming in but rarely will you have more tha...

Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to buy from the LDA..... Alot of land that size is selling for $600k plus in ACT..... I built with ABM Homes back in 2021 I would as...

Should be something they come out ASAP to rectify, looking at the neighbors it would appear yours has a leak as I would expect theirs also to be filled if it was seeping in after a rainy day. Defiantly would be going to builder.

Yeah we have been trying to get our fence done and the weather has had it delayed was meant to be in before Christmas but still hasn't been done. Not sure about Sydney, but in Canberra we recently got a Sandstone retaining wall done at $265 / sqm including everything. For a retaining wall of rocks you will also need to include the width . In our case the height was 1.1 m + 0,3 m width into total length. Yeah ours done in Canberra was $240/sq...

I have never used it personally, just prefer hardwood decking myself and am about to do another deck with Blackbutt. But know people that have decks made out of it and they do say the same, but the time saved not having to put in as much maintenance will make up for it. Heat I think will happen with...

Are retaining walls included in building price? I build on a block with a 4m or so slope from back to front and all I can say is for the cost of the retaining walls I could have bought a larger block that was less of a slope. It is worth taking that into consideration as it can blow budgets really q...

That's looking good mate. Happy seeing your progress. Hello @suku18. May I ask who you are building with? I feel like we have the same builder but we are building in Tralee and there has been a lot of delays. Our builder is called WNA Constructions. Hey Moldeau, Sorry didnt log in for a long time. ...

I thought ABM would have fit that to a T, as they are a local small custom builder. Our price at the time was around $1,800psqm, I assume these prices may have gone up by now as we signed back in 2020. But nonetheless good luck in your search, hopefully you find the right one for your build. I usual...

Seemed pretty reasonable price for what was included as standard, my Mother build with GJ Gardner in Gunning and I assume this will be different from the team in ...

Sorry didn't see the reply, So going by the plans, 228.82sqm GFA + 18.40sqm for alfresco etc. Going by that I assume the garage is included in the GFA. with the total being 247.22sqm total built up area.

Ours is like 1m, which was fine with the original front door which was standard with a window. We ended up with a free upgrade to a wide door which kinda makes me wish our hallway was the same width as the door looking at it now. How wide is your door? Also, when you say 1m, is that including or ex...

Would agree after our build would be much better to have all retaining walls etc included into the plans and sorted by the builder rather than having to do it yourself after the fact. I guess if they aren't big walls its not as big of a concern, but we ended up with over 120m2 of walls around the pl...
