Leave it, replacing the brick will be more noticeable. If you have been left with spare bricks, then drill a hole into a spare brick, mix the brick dust with an epoxy putty such as Selleys Knead It and then press and shape the putty into the chip using a putty knife. Thanks, yes I have kept the bri...

Hi all, So I noticed that one brick next to the master bedroom window has a chip in the corner of the brick. I showed my SS and his response was that if we had the brick removed and replaced then chances are that more than likely the mortar colour won't match and it'll look worse. The chip is pretty...

I'm in the same situation. My electric hot water system with solar boost is on the other side of the house to where my ensuite is, about 30m away. I never thought about this, I've always been on gas and the thought never crossed my mind to move it close to my ensuite. Anyway too late now, I'm about ...

Can this even be done with many builders? In my contract it states that if I don't pay the builder within 10 days of being handed the progress payment then they charge you interest every day and stop work. So in theory, I would agree to not hand over the final payment unless you're happy with the en...

My garage is 7 wide X 6.5 deep. I saw how small they make double garages these days and it was the first thing I modified and made bigger

I had a similar issue where the slab edges came out past the brickwork. It was noted from my private inspector to be rectified. My builder jackhammered the overhanging concrete bits. So it's all neat and tidy now (as far as I can tell)

Can you go back to the builder and get them to write another letter to prove your commencement date started within the time limit? That's probably your only option I would say and yeah, I'd be annoyed as well as I banked it all on the variations and FHOG. Good luck with it, hope you get a positive o...

Why was it rejected? When did you sign the contract and when did they break ground and when was the slab pour done? As long as it's in the timeframe stated it should be fine. I believe as long as you start within 18 months of contract sign then you should get it. They rejected due to taking too lon...

you/your builder need to do something about that water ponding. the temp downpipes draining onto the ground instead of into the stormwater is not helping. I did mention that to my SS when I met him onsite. He said that the eves will be done shortly and he'll make sure the temp downpipes are connect...

He just said that that is what he was told by his insulation supplier. I don't know who the supplier is but will ask next time I speak to him. I have it all in writing via email. I do wonder if the ecowool packaging is different between the various batt ratings as the ones marked R4.1 were the same ...

So apparently the insulation supplier got back to my SS and he was advised there was a mix up with the labelling of some of the R5.0 batts and they were labelled as R4.1. So according to them it is R5.0. I just have to trust them I guess
