We have a large open area (living, dining, kitchen), and I love the way the floor flows into each area. So far no issues about it being in the kitchen. I wipe up spills and I have broken a few things already without any dents or scratches. The only thing I see is scuffs from shoes, and they come off when I mop. So far the only noticeable dent in the floors is in the activity area where my cat knocked a very heavy trophy off the top of a tall bookcase. And even that gouge is tiny. Plus I'm pretty sure you can get filler for laminate flooring gouges. Hope that helps. If you want photos of the flooring in my house, see my thread. Trophies - that's my problem too ... so many ... We are tossing up between a Jarrahdale radiant wood fire (the Pioneer) and a convection wood fire (Innovator or Countryman) but cannot decide on which type of wood fire is… 0 5450 yeah i couldnt picture it issue either, but i could clearly picture what they were doing wrong haha 2 5457 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6584 |
