What was CBA's valuation if you dont mind me asking?
We had our pre approval with CBA as well but now we started to finalize everything, our broker recommended Bankwest. Interest rate is 6.9% and its a discounted rate for the first three years. Pretty happy with them. No app fees or on-going fees so thats a bonus!

Sure mate.. why would I mind
The total cost of the land + build is 442K. CBAs valuation came at 20K lower which meant we had to pay about 3K more in LMI and contribute more from our end. We disputed it as our broker had ordered an ANZ valuation which had come to the value, but CBA didn't budge. I had been with CBA for long and most of the application was already processed, so I though what the heck and agreed to the extra LMI.
CBA they again lowered the valuation by 8K (who knows why!), which meant another increase in LMI plus we have to contribute more.. I thought that was BS, so we just pulled out.
