Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Mojo Homes 789Feb 07, 2017 9:50 am What we did on our 41 which made it a 43, was make the entire ground floor 600mm wider. Introduced a beam so L1 was still the same to be compiant with floor space ratio! Then we stole 600mm from home theatre. To use as a storage nook in the garage! It will be exactly the same as what is on display at kellyville. Aslong as you dont put in the alcove/fireplace.. because that also takes 600mm for the lounge side.. Home theatre i think is still 4.2 deep after pinching the 600. So still good for that 3m optimum viewing distance on many tellies! Re: Mojo Homes 792Feb 12, 2017 8:17 am Did anyone put the double sink and dishwasher in the butlers pantry and put the single sink on the island bench? Re: Mojo Homes 793Feb 12, 2017 10:03 am We were going to do this but then couldn't work out where to put the bin. We want the bin near the sink and dishwasher but then don't want to have to go into the pantry for the bin. Thought about two bins but then decided just to leave it all out and a single sink in pantry for tea/coffee and hiding dishes when entertaining Re: Mojo Homes 794Feb 12, 2017 11:15 am Hey im looking for some advice on the orientation of our house. The block faces north, one side of the house we have 10 meters which is where we are going to put the pool, and have grassed yard and garden aswell as at the back of the house. Should we put the house on the western side so its only 2 meters or so from boundary or on the other side as it is in the below picture. I believe the western side is the super hot sunny side in the afternoon and the eastern side is warmer in the morning so would it be better to swap the house in the picture so its closer to the western boundary and then do pool etc on other side so we dont get that hot afternoon sun? Does this make sense. This is the site plan as it stands now, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Mojo Homes 796Feb 12, 2017 11:20 am nennles We were going to do this but then couldn't work out where to put the bin. I would want to have it in the center of the counter. Its hard to imagine without pictures though..
