Re: Summit build in the South West - NEW PICS PIGGIES!!! 1328Mar 29, 2015 2:22 am Been so damn busy and have seriously missed all you lovely people. Very slow to organize our new home coz work and kids stuff hasnt stopped just coz we moved! Freckle Face has finally got her pony so have been spending time with her to get him settled. My number one priority for the house is the office space in the main living area coz i feel so disorganized without it. After much online research i finally decided on a Nuline flat pak office from H Norman. They have a great range of colours and it feels like great quality. I didnt want it to look too officey either! Gotta wait 6 weeks but pretty happy with my choice and look forward to its arrival! Still on the mattress on in our room and only have an old lounge and the tv in the living area so have no pics to share yet. All my old stuff was plums and browns so have to do some serious shopping to do our beautiful home justice. Will get there, albeit slowly! So great to catch up with all your progress. Re: Summit build in the South West 1329Mar 29, 2015 8:56 pm Hi Rache, sorry for the misunderstanding - it was when we were there in Oct Looking forward to seeing the fireplace, the pony and the office! Re: Summit build in the South West 1330Mar 29, 2015 9:58 pm Rache you make me laugh with your mattress on the floor, what happened to your old bed? I think I missed the story. The Nuline packs look great. Re: Summit build in the South West 1331Mar 31, 2015 12:00 pm Hi Rache, I'm busy catching up after being off line for so long! Re: Summit build in the South West 1335Apr 01, 2015 12:42 am Oh that makes sense now! how annoying though, sound like they're a bit annoyed at the defects too! Cant win a trick. The manufacturer is driving down from perth personally with number 3 on Thursday so i can set up our bedroom! Yay! How annoying! We had something similar happen - before we moved into our house we ordered a bed and a mattress separately. The mattress arrived, and when the bed did a few days later the headboard didn't line up with the side panel. We didn't particularly want to make extra holes in a brand new bed so asked them to replace it. They said it would take 6 weeks before someone would even be able to come around to ours trying to 'fix' it. We didn't like that very much so asked them to take it back instead. It took us forever to find something else we liked that wasn't made by the same company so we ended up sleeping on the floor for ages - at least the mattress was very comfy! Re: Summit build in the South West 1337Apr 02, 2015 6:21 pm Hey rache, did you get your bed today finally? Those nuline desks look great. I know what you mean about feeling disorganzied without desk space. I've been working off our dining table for months now (long story) and it's sooooo frustrating. Wondering if you ever bought the haan Steam vac? Wasn't that you that was talking about it? I've got my eye on one and was just wondering if it was everything that it's cracked up to be. Hope you're feeling a bit more settled in your beautiful house. Re: Summit build in the South West 1338Apr 13, 2015 1:07 am Hey everyone! Yes its been a while. Ridiculously busy with work and kids and have just had a week in beautiful Augusta! Phew! Beach, barefoot and stress free. Feeling much better and have a week to sort out some house stuff- still got to scrub the hallway tiles, patch and paint. Doors are still not on and we are waiting for our flue jacket so we can get our fire going. House is pretty bare coz have to wait for new furniture. Reckon it will take a good 12 months to deck it out as i would like. Hmmm, patience...Aaaahhhhh!!!! We still dont have any window coverings coz can't decide on main living area sliding door and window. On a positive note we have a bed! Yippee!! Going linen shopping this week sometime. Ardie i didnt end up getting the haan steam cleaner as i got talked into the Shark when i was desperately wanting to clean my bathrooms! It doesnt do a bad job. Not thrilled though and wish i had waited- not my strongest trait as you have probably gathered! Hehehe!!! Only photo of our new bed for you guys...wish i had more but nothing more to show you as yet.
