Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Jan 09, 2015 10:34 am Hi This is a personal recommendation... I bought 4 security lights on eBay, solar, automatic and LED. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/371127746084 ... 1439.l2649 They have a brilliant light, brilliant quality, brilliant price ($99 for 2 free postage)... I will buy more. Ed "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy. I bent a hook on each end to go under one tile and over the next. Fed the wire under the same tile through to the eave, and put the light on the wall... tested and done. Time to buy more. Have sent it to my dh to review for security lighting Re: Security Lights Recommendation 4Apr 06, 2015 8:55 am A similar set bought 3 years ago worked very well, until it came time to replace the batteries. Not available locally, and would have cost more than a new system to import. Most ads don't show battery models used, but worth asking before buying. Re: Security Lights Recommendation 5Apr 06, 2015 10:01 am From the ad and title it looks like they are solar powered. Are you talking about the storage cell used? I would ask the seller on fleabay if they provide back up. Re: Security Lights Recommendation 6Apr 07, 2015 4:23 pm AussieMark From the ad and title it looks like they are solar powered. Are you talking about the storage cell used? I would ask the seller on fleabay if they provide back up. Just to say, they work great... I would think the batteries will be AA rechargeable as most consumer solar LEDs use these. Also, one of my solar panels ceased to work recently, they sent another, without having to return the unit or the dead panel.
