Hi, just wondering if anyone has done a 2nd storey extension as an owner builder? If we build up we would have uninterrupted ocean views. A couple of building companies (in WA) have quoted $250000 for a bedroom, ensuite, small sitting area and a balcony, Im just wondering how much you could do the extension for yourself? Thanks!

Without a sketch That estimate works out about right
I am assuming Upper Light Frame Construction , Budget on $80-100K per room, Lofts $30-$50K
I suggest you get your own sketch, check the existing house Engineering and get 3 quotes, trade prices are pretty competitive in Perth ATM
