I recently had a carport built,, approx 4 months ago. Two posts on the same corner are starting to show 'cracks', about 3cm at the deepest point. My builder contacted wood supplier who said it was just surface checking and was not of structural concern.it need only be filled and painted over.
Does anyone have an opinion on this?
