Going on the picture it looks as if it is a female aerator and may screw off under the groove section in the photo. I usually use a thin bit of rubber like an outlet washers for more grip. Try with your hands but you may need to use a pair of multigrips over the rubber being very careful not to sctratch the chrome off.
It could also be a style that needs a plastic key like tool to unscrew from the bottom. Try speaking to the plumbing supplies like Reece or Tradlink. They may have a spare one they can give you.
