Thanks. I hope they match well. Will be good to see yours come together as the external colours are similar.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 29Mar 13, 2018 3:22 pm the electrical side of it is pricey hey! We were SUCH tight asses, in a couple of bedrooms like the spare we are just doing fans with a light haha. and left a few battons in hopefully not so noticable areas... but then we went and got 3 USB power points haha the great thing about building your own house is you get to pick what suits you the most. I love that you thought about the backsplash and getting plates to suit. I've seen in a couple of displays where they had a plain white one and it just bugs me - it's a show house, come on! ha I'm half wishing we got fans supplied by them, as now we have to go fan shopping this week Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 30Mar 14, 2018 7:32 am The man we saw at Clipsal suggested the glass powerpoints on the splashback, so in the end we have 3 -
1. double power point including switch for the led strip lighting 2. double power point including usb 3. switch for the hot plate Can you go back to them and ask them to supply fans? Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 32Mar 17, 2018 5:58 pm Costings- Basic fan (no light) - $189.56 Not sure how much extra for fan with light. He said $150 to instal your own fan. Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 34Mar 17, 2018 6:13 pm Our son is an electrician, so we will probably change over the outdoor one down the track. The electrical appointment was easy. There is also a 3 year warranty for everything Clipsal do. Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 38Mar 20, 2018 9:39 pm So far, I can't fault Coral's admin. They return my emails promptly and happy to answer all my questions. We have signed all our variations (tile extras, colours), we have council building approval and just waiting on convenant approval. Money for the build is sorted, just waiting on start date. They previously estimated it should be around 13/4. Not long now. 😀😀 Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 39Mar 20, 2018 10:11 pm Awesome, that's only a couple of weeks away 😊 I'm so glad the admin has been good for you. It seems like you've had a pretty good experience so far. How long have you been waiting for covenant approval? Re: Coral Homes - Grange 25 40Mar 21, 2018 7:41 am Dylandbrooke Awesome, that's only a couple of weeks away 😊 I'm so glad the admin has been good for you. It seems like you've had a pretty good experience so far. How long have you been waiting for covenant approval? We are happy so far. They said it should take 2 weeks for covenant approval and then start another couple of weeks later. So, if they start on the date they said, 13 April, we will be happy. We spent close to 2 years in a process with TA. It was horrible..... we got to tender, and the first cut was 50% over our budget which "they care such about meeting ".
