Edited miss read the question: I'd get a quote for what's on the plans then get back to him a few days later saying, I can't really afford your quote plus buy new whatever is on your list, if you could reuse "whatever" you can have the job. Who is going to de-commission and reinstall AC with warranties? If they do there will be a premium for the risk. I think you are better off to sell your salvaged items.
