We are working on our design currently (up to thermal assessment stage) and age/mobility proofing at least a section of the house is a must have for us. Just having it as a cupboard/laundry chute/dumb waiter until you need the lift is a good idea . A bit jealous here, let me tell you! Looks like you have given this a lot of thought to maximise your space and take advantage of every aspect. We've been busy making design changes and this is where things are at now. The big change we made is on the first floor, we swapped the location of the kids' bathroom and guest bedroom.
