Council levy for my area $1k, additional site costs (on a fixed price contract just prior to signing) $6k, NBN levy $300, rubbish bins from the council $235, water bills throughout build $160 a quarter (not including usage), council rates throughout build, progress draw fees on the mortgage $95 each, title insurance $300, verification of identity, boundary fencing (knew it would come, but because my neighbors finished a lot earlier then me it came sooner than expected)... overall I spent about 67k on these things plus deposits and another $20k on furnishings, landscaping, etc.. and haven't even moved in yet. Given I thought I'd spend about 15k on deposits and then another 15k on furnishings and landscaping its been a big surprise!! 1 2992 That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
