Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Custom build - BRISBANE - First home 69Sep 20, 2017 10:32 pm Tribe7 Nope I'm off the couch and dancing Gr8ly I got an update this morning that drafting have amended the plans and our pricing is done. We will have everything this afternoon God damn my budget better be ok because I love my ensuite tile. Surely council won't take that long to approval the relaxation? Have council approved your plumbing and drainage and has the certifier approved the plans? From memory our block is 89m on one side, 97m on the other and 47m wide, we do have a crappy batter though. Pool will go in up near the house and a sunken fire pit plus a play ground (haven't figured out how we are going to build the fire pit but it's gonna happen ) That's cool you got your fencing included, last time because we where first in Mr T built all our fences and everyone moved in around us and thought it was awesome as they all got free fencing . What kind of fencing have you got? Lapped and capped or good neighbour? I'm off to sort out my shed quote now yay. oh good! it's nice to actually be pleasantly surprised by builders lol Meanwhile these are good questions... i have no idea lol but i think i'll be asking them now. Our neighbours apparently will need to sign something and return back. Builder needs to try 3 times and proof of that if they dont reply. Fencing i think is lapped.. but could be wrong - I'll need to check the estate guidelines again. Custom build - BRISBANE - First home 70Sep 20, 2017 11:14 pm I was surprised alright Gr8ly my budget was on her knees screaming. I've sorted it now but holy smokes it wasn't looking good. Yes ask them what approvals have been granted, also double check your 6 star energy rating, covenant approval, certifier and council, plus the damn relaxations. In regards to your relaxation from your neighbours, you mentioned your neighbours all have relaxations did you sign documents approving their siting plans?? Something along those lines happened to first time builder on her first Clarendon build. She got a zero lot neighbour with no request to do so. Sorry to suggest so many things for you to check, it hopefully give admin the shake up that your on to them Re: Custom build - BRISBANE - First home 75Nov 17, 2017 6:25 pm staceyrussell How's it all going? Hey staceyrussell we've been waiting patiently for council... and everything has been approved finally : ) . So hopefully we should have some progress by the end of the month... we know our site manager now too Meanwhile we haven't visited our land in a while, so hoping there's a nice surprise for when we do. Im just excited that something is finally happening after all the dramas we've had to endure. Re: Custom build - BRISBANE - First home 76Nov 17, 2017 8:48 pm That's wonderful news gr8ly! Here's to surprises in the build speed for you now that it's all getting underway. My thread can be found here - I hope! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=89313 Re: Custom build - BRISBANE - First home 78Nov 18, 2017 9:33 am Yes, that is awesome news! You will have a slab and frames before you know it! Yayy! Re: Custom build - BRISBANE - First home 79Nov 30, 2017 6:29 pm so we are patiently waiting for the weather to improve so we can finallyyyyy have our slab poured It was supposed to be done yesterday, but now with the constant rain, will probably be sometime next week. Annoying... however i'd rather they get it right the first time. Hopefully will have some pics from next week. Fingers crossed this rain goes away... ugh! Re: Custom build - BRISBANE - First home 80Nov 30, 2017 7:53 pm Haha, I know them feels!! That's what happened to us! Fingers crossed for sunny skies!!! I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34274 6 55355 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27740 |
