Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 468Nov 19, 2017 2:16 pm slack tradies. Probably objected to having to go back out due to insulation guys braking the pipe (if it was them) so they left it so that the insulation guys would have to go back out to clean it up Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 469Nov 19, 2017 2:42 pm Yep thats what we thought... not to impress with these tantrums and getting back at each other But by the looks of it the cooling pipe was not put back either. So probably cooling people will go out to fix it tomorrow and hopefully put back the insolations Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 471Nov 19, 2017 6:26 pm We had a look again today, still same but have discovered that the air vents is slso closed up with installation that will be opend in the roof and the electrical guy by the looks of things is not finished with hos work at all.... looks like the tradie for electrical did more work and most probably slso the reason for some insolation thats on the floors. But also looks like insolation is not completed. The beams above the slide doors only got insolation in the openings and nothing where the wood beams are?(is that standard?) looks just like a half job from all sides of whom no one is finished for the plaster so either they all ve working over time monday/ tuesday to have it sone by Wednesday or i have no idea! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 472Nov 20, 2017 4:13 pm Urgh so annoyed Went to site got told vandalism... all the electrical ripped out and cut out and the copper piping from aircon! Huge set back Now they have to take out all old wires and insolation then rewire, re insolate and then do plaster! Worst bit wires was there a whole week before insolation went in and nothing happened but soon as insolation went in it got ripped out! But if they did insolation and plaster when they said they will (last Wednesday) it would have been more secured! Now wondering how long it will delay us... we have our joinery booked for 7/12. Apparently this happens on all sites! Even in the expensive suburbs apparently tradie say its a normal thing. Anyone else had this? Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 474Nov 20, 2017 4:34 pm Entilzha have heard of it as well. so must have occured yesterday/last night after you went on site. hoping its not to big a delay as they fix it. Me too! They even tookthe brickies building clamps Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 475Nov 20, 2017 4:35 pm When you mentioned copper the other day i did think that it was theft... Copper is worth quite a bit when they take it to scrap yards. That sucks so much for you!! 👎 I hope they try and make time back up quickly for you!! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 477Nov 20, 2017 4:42 pm even with a roof on the weather can still cause delays. hopefully they push it to be ready for the joinery date rather than reschedule that as well - plus other trades scheduled for afterwards. Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 478Nov 20, 2017 4:45 pm Yep, hubby tried to call consultant but no answering the phone so left a message again, cause we have to arrange for driveway cut for pavers but wanted to know how it will go bow (catchup/ delay move on) mind you it was supposed to be done on 15th (the linings) On the goid side we inly have boundarag wall and bits around windows/doirs left to be bricked. Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 479Nov 20, 2017 4:55 pm Just got call back! Urgh really unhappy! Now with this it will move our time frame for driveway to 3rd/4th week in January which means no move in till around mid February if they said therr is no more incidents! How can people be so inconsiderate. Hate it! So probably mean our joinery booked for 7/12 is going to be moved too! Consultant said she will put it under urgent and contact ss snd ask him how things will go, but hickies self doesn’t know bout it just the ss and then he goes through maintenance department snd then do an insurance claim Really tempted to go sleep there at night to catch these thiefs and then at keast get $500 reward! So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27712 hi guys.
