Can we leave the poles in ir do we remove everything? tia @enthilza any news on when they will start in your building Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 162Sep 11, 2017 1:11 pm no update but planning on going for a drive out there again wednesday i would assume the entire fence along the boundary wall needs to be removed and temporary fencing erected - have you discussed the fencing with your neighbors to see their preference in handling this - might be able to just relocate these panels to use as temporary fencing for the moment assuming your building on the boundary the garage wall will replace that fence and those posts - if neighbors are asking you to contribute to fencing costs and these are no longer needed once your garage wall is built but can be matched across the back you should see if you can use the fencing along your back - thinking you said only had fencing on the 2 sides Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 163Sep 11, 2017 1:19 pm We have fences on all sides builder only said fence remove size of garage plus an extra meter but no ither info as to if we should remove poles too cause the neighbours have a gate that use a pole and if we remove pole it wint close. The neighbours said to do what's easier for us with vlosing up till after construction but they have small dogs so we need to close it up between wall and fence So looking for options to remove fence and poles and vlise up gap till construction is finished Wondering if we could just cut off the poles to the soil level (specifications we really need to make sure done correctly/do we dig out the poles with their concrete Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 164Sep 11, 2017 1:37 pm can you use the existing fence and gate to close of from the fence that is remaining to the neighbors wall. that still encloses their year yard that way for their dogs, then once your wall is up you should be able to move it back to the correct location and anchor it against your garage wall. pretty sure your garage wall foundations will be in the same location as those poles and if concrete from poles is there i am sure they will charge for its removal Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 165Sep 11, 2017 1:41 pm Was thinking that but the curreng gate is attached to poles thats concreted into the ground so we wont be able to use thaf one and the panels is round 2m wide we need to fill a 1m gap lol will try to anchor it between windowsill/down pipe and tie to current fence just worried how we will go about with the pold from the existing gate that we have to remove will maybe get a couple of quotes and see what options we get Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 166Sep 13, 2017 12:10 am Hi Lovisa great journey so far was a good read ! my build will be starting in the next month or so aswell so will be interesting to see how our progress compares !!
