Yeah that is a good location I agree!
Is the GPO on the plan you have circled a separate circuit from the switchboard? just check this, as it appears to be a standard GPO at a certain height symbol. Needs to be a dedicated circuit for the inverter.
Also check if there is a separate conduit installed into the slab for the solar installers to get the DC side to the inverter.
I can see there will be roof space at the front of the house hopefully they can install the DC to the garage that way if no conduit has been installed.
Have you got an electrical plan that you can upload?
Yes there is an existing powerpoint there now, we sorted that out as part of our pre-start. For some reason the thought of solar power didn't occur to me through the design & pre-start process, so we're getting APG to run the pre-wire as a variation now. The variation we are raising is for a separate circuit back to the meter box from the marked spot on the plan. So there will be a power point next to the inverter, on a separate circuit.
Unfortunately, we don't have any plans for how the conduits run through the slab (apparently the electricians just run them as needed?). I had thought exactly what you propose with regards to how it may be run via the front of the house and up through the cavity wall at the front to the roof space. We're just waiting on confirmation from the builder on that now.
I'll PM you the electrical plans
