Looks good. Our roof scaffolding was taken down today.

Lots of frame defects to resolve before they even measure up the roof. Meanwhile, windows have been delivered and dumped out the front. Flooring is getting destroyed upstairs with all the rain. We're so behind it's not funny, previous SS really stitched us up. That’s what I was thinking - if they put the roof before inspection then how will the inspector the those roof trusses follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: Arden - Votivo 43 353Jan 16, 2018 6:18 pm Exxie Good news Ezza, we've still had no progress. Our inspection is Thursday, hope it’s ok. I was worried about the floor too but our framer said that yellow tongue is ok to be exposed to weather for up to 3 months, not ideal but they sand it back before laying flooring, plus I did some research and it’s not a big deal for carpet upstairs especially with an underlay. I’m more worried about the timber part of the window frames, ours were delivered before Xmas and the first floor ones still not installed and are getting lots of rain on them. But what can you do? Yes, we had NHI out before Xmas. Good luck with yours. I was told the same about the Structaflor, but ours has been out for almost 3 months now. It took them over a month to install it and now it's been another 5 or so weeks since it was installed. Some of our windows have been left completely out in the open so they'll be getting plenty wet. It would have taken an extra 60 seconds to put them inside. These damn trades just don't give a rat's. Re: Arden - Votivo 43 355Jan 16, 2018 6:45 pm katgalle Oh congrats ezza78!! How exciting!! Yep - post roof is elec/air con ducting/plumbing rough in...ours was done pre Christmas so been twiddling our thumbs waiting for some progress for about a month now...fingers crossed progress this week. Would you believe our frame still isn’t complete yet?! When did your build start Katgalle? Where and what r u building again? We have an overhang on our garage wall but that was obvious even to me and will be rectified. Is your SS happy to fix the defects? Re: Arden - Votivo 43 358Jan 16, 2018 7:43 pm Hey treedance, it’s not that the windows get wet on top, it’s that water pools up on your slab and the section that touches the ground is in water. Fine for the aluminium not so great for timber frame. |
