Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 42Jul 22, 2017 6:21 pm that's actually not to bad a colour I have a mixture of mostly darker timber furniture and am worried about making sure my flooring doesn't clash with it - but also dont want it to clash if i start replacing furniture with more modern looking items down the track white/black/glass etc. I was actually in solomons this afternoon myself getting another flooring quote gave me the total price but not the m2 price but still can decide exactly what i want - and its just me having to make the decisions without consulting anyone else Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 43Jul 22, 2017 8:37 pm We have dark furniture too and also leaning to more dark furniture with white walls and the greyish floors will bring colour in with accessories:) thought with grey/black/white the options for furniture is more. My ktchen cupboards and benchtops is white. Thought with grey flooring we can go either white or black. Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 44Jul 23, 2017 9:23 am It is hard to get an accurate pic of the colour, but the bark has red, blue and grey tones in it, so we thought that it means it can suit a lot of colours for furniture, kitchen cabinets etc, and being lighter, then our furniture won't get lost in it. Looking forward to getting the sample piece soon. Have you got someone who went with you for selections Entilzha? I know you make the decisions, but nice to have someone to bounce ideas off Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 45Jul 23, 2017 6:28 pm i have a couple of people i have bounced ideas of. I realised today my quote at CC was for 2mm thick planks the one i got yesterday at solomons was for a product that looks almost identical but is 3mm thick what was the thickness of what you selected? both places have told me for my expected traffic volumes - low product should last 10+ years Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 46Jul 23, 2017 7:14 pm I can't remember the thickness - I remember hearing 5 but they could be anything! I just remember it was the commercial grade. Did you go to gepps cross? It was the stuff in the far back right corner laid on the ground. Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 47Jul 23, 2017 7:44 pm Ours is 5mm too and consultant said 25yrs wattanty, similar in shops has 20yrs. Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 48Jul 23, 2017 7:55 pm We were told install is normally about 25/sqm - the deal we got was install was 11/sqm Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 51Jul 23, 2017 10:40 pm Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 57Jul 27, 2017 7:04 pm Still haven't got the master plans yet . Which means still can't book in for selections and dh is off to America for a week and a half, so we are at a standstill Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 59Jul 29, 2017 8:34 pm We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 36896 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 18894 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13299 |
