I've been watching your build very closely hahaha- we have the same site supervisor and your build runs about 1 week behind ours (there's 4 hallmarks around the block and 3 out of 4 run a week behind each other schedule wise) Howdy neighbour!! Yep drive past your house to compare progress. Our SS is awesome and knows his stuff. Have you gotten any quotes for your driveway? We had one guy that didnt turn up and left messages with others that dont call back. Ggrr frustrating. We had one guy that didnt turn up and left messages with others that dont call back. Ggrr frustrating. Yes we're dealing with it right now. So depressing, the old bank balance will be emptying and that's before we even get retaining wall quotes lol. I've had 4 businesses not even reply which is bizarre given our driveways aren't exactly tiny! Our SS can recommend you one that he likes but they have been the highest quote (by thousands). We've decided to go with a local guy who seems to do a lot of the driveways around here and came highly recommended in the local FB group- Wayne D'Elton. For 115m2 of driveway it's around $7500 inc gst. Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 72Jun 14, 2017 9:09 am Thanks for that. Might get a quote from him. $7500 seems very reasonable. We are also looking into an asphalt driveway as it seems they are alot cheaper but unsure if this is allowed. I gotta dig up the covenant to check. We had one quote on our retaining come in too high so still deciding on our options for that. Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 73Jun 14, 2017 10:28 am MissLucky Thanks for that. We have been quoted around $5500 for 100sqm. Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 74Jun 14, 2017 11:45 am MissLucky Thanks for that. Might get a quote from him. $7500 seems very reasonable. I've just looked at my covenant and we can actually have the bitumen but it says 'with edging'. Could I ask what company that quote is from at all? It was just a quote I got when we were doing up numbers for the bank. I will get more quotes once our slab goes down. Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 77Jun 14, 2017 12:29 pm Hello I'm a newbie to this building forum. We have a block of land at Buccan and are looking to build with Hallmark, either the infinity 319 or the retreat. We are first time builders and have absolutely no idea hahaha. I have read your topic and you have helped so much. Your house looks amazing! How have you found Hallmark to deal with. Are they flexible when wanting to change the plan. I've only really heard positive reviews Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 78Jun 14, 2017 1:41 pm Tamara1975 Buildingretreat305 Tamara1975 [quote="MissLucky"]Thanks for that. Thats a great quote! Considering we have about 200sqm and our first quote was about 20k!! Definitely going to check out asphalt. I've only really heard positive reviews Welcome! We haven't had any problems so far with Hallmark. I would recommend them. They seem to be so quick with our build. We made sure to add everything into the contract before we signed so we didnt get hit with any variations later on and made sure it was exactly how we wanted it. We modified the infinity 319 quite alot but didnt add floorspace. (Except for the extra garage) Some was extra and some was no cost. But knowing before signing we knew exactly how much. Our sales guy was very patient with me after changing alot of things and asking for heaps of quotes for extras that i wanted. The only thing ,was i thought there would be an electrical appointment but no. So that added about $2500 after adding power points, lights etc. Other builders have electrical appointments? Hallmark have upgrade packages. Some we went with some we didnt. Good luck! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17591 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23764 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 23887 |
