Yeah, I am hoping this means everything will be booked and ready for first week back Can’t wait to get started, no way we will catch up to you guys though, we have a different SS too so I hope he’s good and flexible.. I want to move our extra battens down 20cm for tv mounting and move a PowerPoint up + get the electrician to do some cash jobs! I can’t wait to see the inside of your house come together Thanks for all your help so far, I think you have ended up helping me more than I have helped you Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Pending Start Date) 229Dec 08, 2017 4:44 pm StephLee Yeah, I am hoping this means everything will be booked and ready for first week back Can’t wait to get started, no way we will catch up to you guys though, we have a different SS too so I hope he’s good and flexible.. Thank you! You have been so helpful as well can't wait to watch you guys get underway! Looking so forward to seeing your light and vibrant choices come to life too. Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Start Date - 21 December 201 230Dec 20, 2017 11:43 am Site start date tomorrow We are currently on holidays but got a call from drafting (I assume) yesterday about one of our variations to add flyscreens to stacker doors, apparently we were allocated an extra panel that wasn’t needed. He was super helpful and we ended up re-allocating that panel to the laundry and adding flyscreens to our master bedroom door in the same variation for only $400! Plus we already have the variation back to sign today which is awesome One less thing we have to worry about after handover I think they will just get the site scrape done before Christmas but better than nothing Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Start Date - 21 December 201 232Dec 20, 2017 12:47 pm Hooray for a start ! Finally you can start seeing it all come to life, you'll be blown away by how fast it all happens. Thank you! It has been a busy day we had our site meeting at 7.30am and then babysat 3 kids all day To our surprise site was cut yesterday Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our site supervisor seems super onto it and said he would be surprised if our build took 16 weeks. He estimated 10-14 weeks + 2 weeks for Christmas so we are going to assume we will be in before end of April he showed us all the trades booked... said our slab will go down around January 25th 2018! (Seems longer than usual from what I have seen considering they are back on the 9th?) He said we can do cash jobs with the electrician and change any electrical items with him which is awesome and he’s already forwarded me his contact details. Also asked about adding noggins which he said it fine! We currently have them at 1.5m in Media, Lounge and master but we think that may be too high for us so we are going to add another at 1.3m just in case. We are also able to discuss with painter if we want any additional painting or featuring walls! We are thinking about doing the media in a dark grey (all walls and roof) so will get costing for that - we have a really narrow media room so hoping it won’t make it look smaller but partner really wants it He doesn’t want us doing our own insulation though but gave us a contact to do it... don’t think it will be worth it for us, we will have ducted aircon anyway. No more progress to happen this year, he’s just going to put up a little bit of fencing tomorrow (not full size fencing, the really short marker stuff). Overall super happy with him so far! We have also decided to use a private building inspector costing approx $1100 for the slab/frame check, electrical/plumb check and PCI walkthrough, haven’t advised Coral of this yet but will in the new year. We would rather be safe than sorry Can’t wait for them to get stuck into it in the near year Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Start Date - 21 December 201 238Dec 21, 2017 9:10 pm Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Start Date - 21 December 201 239Dec 21, 2017 10:42 pm How awesome.... you have started! I hope your luck turns around soon Hi Everyone I learned something this week that I thought would be worth sharing. In NSW a lot of developers of subdivisions put covenants on the land which normally… 0 5009 1 12683 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 7220 |
