What have you done / what do you ne 130Dec 29, 2017 7:32 pm Hi shakeandbake I have found through my testing/development it comes down to what type of products you are using and how you set it up. I have found that the Fibaro line up is very stable and works reliable, i also use some of the Aectech line up and have had similar results. As you can see from the video that i posted lights turn on and off as if you did it at the switch. Hope that helps you out, feel free to give us a ring and we can talk more. Re: Your Connected Home. What have you done / what do you ne 131Jan 11, 2018 12:05 pm A few comments. 1. I do have Homeseer (HS), it's not bad, but lot's of issues. Advice: they have 50% sale on software twice a year, subscribe to their email to be notified. 2. Aeon Multi-Sensors - they are cheap, but not reliable, I think it's better to invest in better quality, i.e. Fibaro. The BEST feature of Aeon Multi-Sensors - they support usb power (instead of batteries), which makes them a bit more reliable because they don't sleep. 3. Try to use wired sensors instead of Z-Wave when possible, from my experience Z-Wave isn't very reliable and not too fast, sometimes delay between entering the room and switching the lights is more than 10 sec, which is pretty useless. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, I have to reset the sensors and/or reboot HS. 4. Regarding IP cameras - you will have to choose cameras supported by HS, currently it's Foscam 5. I'm looking into HS compatible alarm system also would appreciate any input 6. Basically before choosing on any hardware - check if it's going to work with HS, i.e Doorbird is supported. 7. For garage door automation I found that using Raspberry digital I/O is cheaper option that dedicated Z-Wave devices (at least here in AU). But this depends on your electronics skills. Regarding computer specs for running HS server, if you want to process video stream from IP cameras - you need pretty good comp, personally I bought i7 from Hystou, it's much cheaper than NUK and great looking, good support too. http://www.hystou.com/products/fanless- ... -1953.html Thanks mate.
