We worked out that after 5 years, we would be in front (using river pebbles) compared to using bark chips. My poor dh though - currently having to pick up 2 tonnes of river pebbles to pile out the back! Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 411Nov 07, 2017 10:04 am thats a lot of pebbles - how much area will that cover
the prices i have looked at list a 20mm screened white marble gravel for $96 a tonne. Also lists 20 or 40mm river pebbles for $110 but no real idea of how much that would actually cover a online calculator shows me needing around 2 cubic meters to cover an area 7x3 meters to a depth of 1cm i might even end up putting some fake lawn in front yard as well to cut back on cost of pebbles etc if needed Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 412Nov 07, 2017 10:18 am We got told 2-3ton for pur front yard which is 5 x 7 (10 x5 less driveway) but depending on the size of pebble smaller needs less and larger needs more think ours would be round $300 for the front but definitely worth it compared to wood chips Then just get a blower to blow the Dirt/debris off Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 413Nov 07, 2017 10:19 am lovisa We got told 2-3ton for pur front yard which is 5 x 7 (10 x5 less driveway) but depending on the size of pebble smaller needs less and larger needs more think ours would be round $300 for the front but definitely worth it compared to wood chips Then just get a blower to blow the Dirt/debris off The place you buy from can work out for you Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 415Nov 07, 2017 10:27 am not sure how much area it covered as lots of areas through our current place out front, down back, down side etc we went to garden grove and they had really good prices Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 416Nov 07, 2017 12:56 pm Nawsome not sure how much area it covered as lots of areas through our current place out front, down back, down side etc we went to garden grove and they had really good prices There is a place in Smithfield that did free delivery for orders over 1 ton, which had good prices, we will probably go to garden grove too abd get some quotes:) thanks for tgat forgot bout them Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 418Nov 07, 2017 2:44 pm Entilzha acaciagarden in smithfield is the place i have looked at so far - they at least have a price list online.
