Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 23, 2017 11:37 pm Hi guys, We are currently building with Simonds Homes in south east Queensland. Our building is near completion and the driveway was laid down on Tuesday this week. It rains a lot this week in SE Queensland and today when we droped by the site we are surprised to see some standing water in our new driveway. We are just wondering whether this is a substandard workmanship by the concreter and we are entitled to ask the builder to redo some parts of the driveway. The question is whether the builder had the insurance and whether the event was covered. The workmanship is a separate conversation. 10 17603 you need to make an application to your local council for this as they are the approval authority for driveways cheers Simeon 1 6116 if it's the look that you're not happy with, the easiest option would probably be to spray paint it all into the same color as the walls so it blends in. there might not… 3 3084 |
