Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 341Jul 13, 2017 12:03 am Totally frustrating! Since fit-out stage has started for us too... not sure... but it seems like you can see more faults and errors than it was when it was just frames and bricks and stuff. You just about see all the nicks and dents or paint blemishes, or wobbles or stiff joints or stuck drawers! Considering how OCD I am about our family car (which is our first bought brand new)... I'm not sure if my brain can handle looking at a brand new house! I hope they do fix all your concerns and issues quick smart - Bribie and Craig!! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and am having trouble letting some things slide but you can't expect everything to be spot on. We will be sticking to our guns on some things tho Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 344Jul 13, 2017 8:48 pm bribiebell Drum roll.....so did it happen? How long did it take? We still don't have a completed kitchen - that 1 drawer is the bane of my life at the moment, just want it done so we can finally see the kitchen finished. Kitchen bench hasn't had the badly repaired chip fixed, front door not stained, piece of architrave was taken off in the en-suite for some reason and hasn't been refitted, garage and laundry door not painted outside, no security screen on the garage door, grout is dirty and caulking to be completed. Very disappointed as we gave an extra 2 weeks and not much has been done. Will see what happens tomorrow Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 349Jul 13, 2017 9:32 pm em-n-craig bribiebell em-n-craig [quote="bribiebell"]Drum roll.....so did it happen? We have issues i want fixed now so we dont have a long list at pci https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 350Jul 13, 2017 9:37 pm What time is walk tru? And dishwasher is it included... i thought it was but now I see your empty space im left wondering https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 351Jul 13, 2017 10:02 pm Walkthrough is 10-11:30 and keeping an open mind for tomorrow as will see what is said to us first otherwise it's not going to go well if we go in angry. We removed the dishwasher as we were going to have a dish drawer but decided against it. Will order one at the weekend - kinda wish we went built in now I see the kitchen Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 352Jul 13, 2017 10:54 pm I love your kitchen - looks like we will have the same mixer! Love your colours they look great x Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 355Jul 14, 2017 10:28 pm Thanks all, walkthrough went really well. Blue dots everywhere as usual, SS was picking up marks and nicks we kept missing. Looks like kitchen bench will be replaced as it has loads of marks on it and he is seeing what can be done for the entry brick work - hoping they come through with that as after spending so much on the portico it makes the entry look ugly. Will see how things go early next week. Hope you guys get some progress next week Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
