They are going to look amazing! Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 134May 17, 2017 8:59 pm spaceboi em-n-craig charlibear Yay for cornice!!! Do you have high ceilings? They look high in the photo GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83643 Ceilings are 2550 high and cornice finishes the rooms off nicely, weird but they felt higher without the cornice, never got a price for 2700 ceilings For the Cas34 we've been quoted: - $3900 for 2700 high without bricks above windows. OR $5600 for 2700 high WITH bricks above windows... We didn't get bricks above windows in current house, and i regret it to this day, especially with such big long stackers doors for alfresco... ..stoopid budget Is that going from 2550? If so, that sounds about right. So about $1500 for bricks above windows and all doors? Thanks Henry, we can't either Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 136May 17, 2017 10:42 pm em-n-craig Thanks something is happening almost every day. Hope you get some movement soon, really pleased with the internal doors. Initially had cav sliders on the Media and Rumpus then switched to swing - not sure if that's a good decision, can always change them if they don't work. Hinged doors can be a better option in a media room, as you have the ability to seal the perimeter if you want (or bulk up over thickness, or both) - for reducing sound leakage. there's not much you can do to Cav sliders to further reduce noise. Did you know about no bricks above garage door? And if so, did you enquire about a price for such? That's one of my "wish-I-hadda" moments. our current facade is like one of coral's wider portico with timber cladding around it and our front windows and main door got bricks above as part of said facade (entire facade was only $4000) .. but the garage got cruddy 'ol sheeting.. If I'd realised at the time I would have at least asked about getting the same timber cladding installed above garage door to match. - assuming lintel and bricks too costly still. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
