Waste of your time as they won't even entertain it and to make it worse, they'll tell you a drop edge beam isn't safe which is an absolute load of nonsense. I have a sloping block which Metricon are building on. They will do it but the max they can do is a 700mm internal drop edge and a rear drop edge of 1.3m. ie 2m max across the build site. My Neighbours are building with Masterton. They have a custom design unit who might be able to help also. Get the survey, geotech and preliminary designs done yourself, that way you own copyright 2. Avoid designers/.artists that break up the Architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) process 2. Make sure you go to a design engineer, they will optimise the design best suited to you block and budget..always ask for proofs 3. Project builders aren't interested in difficult builds, you will be wasting their time and your time 4. Avoid project cost creep where you start off low with Provisional Sums /Costs that escalate after you've handed over the builder a deposit 5. Get 3 quotes from 3 different builders comparing apples with apples so to speak 6.7. etc,etc Please post back if you need specific AEC info...goodluck Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Builders for sloping block NSW 6Mar 19, 2017 8:47 am When you are talking about sloping block, how much of a slope are you talking about? Most builders can do up to 4 metres or alternatively they could have a step down in he slab to help reduce the drop edge beam.
