How long did it take you to get council approval? Are you in Cardinia or Casey? We've just had our second soil report and should be going for council approval soon with Cardinia Shire.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building the Charlton (Baby Charlton) 28 By Porter Davis 38Jul 03, 2017 10:58 pm Hi Everyone sorry for gone missing been really busy getting the ball rolling with site start/work and now everything is going at the speed of light. Let see where i left off with my last update, hmmmm....yeah so once i got the permit (council and developer) my builder took few weeks to double check everything and i got my site start in early june and it just went supersonic speed from there. I missed out by a week for my bushfire levy since my bushfire prone zone was lifted in start of june but builder wouldn't budge and told me my build has gone to site start already and i thought i dont want to delay anymore since i would lose my discounts as it was nearing the expiry date. Anyway i got some new pictures to show. This is a picture of my Vacant land taken on Easter Monday. My cosy Small Land up to the boundary sticks. First floor well underway Hopefully by the end of the week they will be on the second floor. Anyone knows how long the framing stage takes on average? now I think i am feeling the BUZZ after being Meh for a while, i don't know what it was but maybe it's because now i can finally see the house taking shape. Another thing is i can't believe how expensive building a house is getting, from last year to this year it is a huge jump. I saved close to $30k just because i secured my price from last year. Is this with all builders? I wonder if the stamp duty discount rolled from this month would also harm some of the prices now.
