Ensure adequate backyard access (can you get a wheelbarrow through?). Sizes of external windows and doors. Adequate built in storage cupboards. You are also unlikely to upgrade heating, flooring, electricals, etc. so make sure what is included is adequate for your needs. There are NEVER enough powerpoints in rooms, and consider the lighting locations internally because you don't want to have to patch holes in ceilings later.
