Fog brain can't remember what you call them" D777, please divulge more. What Type of screen? Like the one Vuster got? Who is assisting you? Big Picture People? Metricon? Home Theatre is a passion of mine. In my setup I got a hdmi cable put in for a projector in the rumpus and pre wiring 5.1, but I left it at that. Might need to revisit in the future. It’s through the people metricon use. Yes it’s like vusters. Hubs thought it might be easier to just get a quote and get it done all in one go. We also got pre wiring. Now, generally the feeling you get after the plaster is installed is the house feels smaller....it's ok.....you have built the biggest house this forum has ever seen so don't panick, it's still huge. Tips for plaster stage: 1. Make sure you measure every room, every corner and the very niche/bulkhead to ensure they are the correct dimensions 2. Check every plaster walls to make sure they glue it on properly. Some of our walls the glue is insufficient so M has to come back after handover to nail them down. 3. Make sure there is no water which gets into the plaster (eg rain) as it will swell. 4. Check if plaster in corners and joints are square and straight. Hahahaha orph your so funny. I actually thought it felt homely. But I guess once the walls are up it might feel smaller. I will still try and think of it as a mansion I promise viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 931Oct 06, 2017 8:29 pm Doulton777 stanus "We are in the process of getting a quote for electronic theatre screen. I have been told that I cannot add any extras in electrical, especially after contract signing. Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 934Oct 06, 2017 8:56 pm Orpheus Doulton777 They don’t measure the plaster? Ours measured all the framing yesterday. Is that normal? Cos he went through the whole house with a level like a 2 meter one. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 935Oct 06, 2017 9:04 pm stanus Doulton777 Doulton777 [quote="stanus"]"We are in the process of getting a quote for electronic theatre screen. Then we had the guy from the theatre place who was doing our wiring contact us as he was doing the wiring. And he told us to put the projector at the back. As it’s such a huge room it’s better to put it at the back. Then he told hubs because we have carpet in there he recommended speakers in the ceiling. Then hubs ask him to give him a quote. Then said too him we wanted to put a motor screen as well. So his going to give us a quote on that too. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 938Oct 08, 2017 9:34 am Orpheus Yay no more scaffolds! What a house !
