Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 31, 2016 3:57 pm Hi, I know this may be a subjective thing, but looking at some of the microscopic images of the Palmetto vs Sapphire Buffalo, it looks like the Palmetto would be the softer grass - it has less barbs on the ends according to these images. Refer to: http://thelawnguide.com.au/lawn-varieti ... grass.html Can anyone concur that this is the case? I think we will be running with Buffalo but stuck between Palmetto or Sapphire. My preference is for something soft! Thank you all Re: Palmetto vs Sapphire Buffalo - which is softer 2Nov 01, 2016 5:41 pm We went with sir walter buffalo, all the landscapers recommended that one to us. Been down 2 months, so far so good, feels nice and spongy under the feet. That being said we recall down the side of the house where the shade was also had a much thicker layer of top soil than elsewhere so that could be a factor also. It was very nice and soft underfoot. Re: Palmetto vs Sapphire Buffalo - which is softer 6Jan 19, 2017 5:43 am I have both and it's hard to tell them apart. The Palmetto at the front is having thatch problems but still looks amazing. Sapphire feels softer and less thatch. Both are quite prickly underfoot compared to couch, tall fescue or other non Buffalo grasses Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6354 brokers will also be in a position to get you a better rate than the advertised rate most times. 6 7584 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7302 |
