Oh you have gutters now! From this point ours was completed within 4 or so weeks! So if they can get you footpaths and crossovers done in a week or so then the roads you should be at compliance soon! I think June/July title is looking promising

Won't be long now spice girl. Yes it is, but now I'm having second thoughts about the location being in Melton South due to increasing crime. Wondering if I should look at other locations. Re: Building Henley Palace Lux Q1 5BR with MODs in West MEL 147May 27, 2017 3:39 pm I'm not sure on the actual crime statics of Melton South but I do have friends that live in Melton and Melton South that have moved from Sunshine. I know that asking them what they think personal of the area, that they have commented that they personal have not experiencing any difference from moving out of Sunshine. or experienced crime in terms of break-ins, stolen cars or personal attacks. I know that this may not assist with alleviating any concerns and this is only my friends experience. I was concerned to moving to Sunshine early 2000's from South-East Melbourne suburbs, and during our house warming party, we were left with a syringe in our driveway. We have been broken into our house on two occasions and seen people in the back streets of Sunshine shooting up - again just after we moved in. I know this may sound like the worst things that could happen but on the flip side I have had my car broken into in Brighton and also my car gouged all the way along the side. I had also had a smash front window where we lived in the South-East suburbs. Now - I walk my dog at night on the main streets that are well lit - yes I have a German Shepherd. My kids now both in high school get the bus or ride their bikes to Footscray. I would not let my kids walk around at night as they are to young but in a few more years, they will be getting back from their friends houses on dusk. There are pockets of Sunshine that I do avoid at night, and during the day. Walk around the streets of where you are planning on living at all times of the day and night. Chat to people that have just moved into the area. Go shopping in the area that you are going to move to, even have a chat with the local police. Feeling safe where is live is key. Thanks Rachael13, really appreciate your response. Hubby and I are weighing up the pros and cons. With such a delay in land titling, it provides so much time to rethink our decisions on many aspects of the home, and now its the location. I like the future development plans for Atherstone and we're right next door. If we stay in Melton, we'll just need to be more vigilant, get crimsafe security doors (and perhaps windows too) and maybe get cameras. We have an alarm system in the plan. I've been told cameras is a deterrant but this will be after handover. I feel like I'll be living in Fort Knox ...lol. Re: Building Henley Palace Lux Q1 5BR with MODs in West MEL 149May 28, 2017 10:04 am We had an alarm system, CCTV on our house before it got demolished and a couple of German Shepherds in the back yard trained to not eat unless told to do so, and we will be doing the same again. The best thing that we found is to get to know your neighbours, as they are the best deterrent at the end of the day and are the ones that called the police when we had the scumbags circling our house. They also were the ones sending me photos of the house being demolished I love my neighbours especially the ones across the road from me that currently have their CCTV camera on my block. I truly believe that if some one is going to break into your house they will no matter what security you have. After all you can't put barriers on all windows. But you can have good insurance and be vigilant. This is the same of living in any suburb, afterall you wouldn't walk down any street swing around a wad full of money and think that you are going to be ok. As for feeling like your in a fort, you soon forget about the security systems in the house and they just become part of your day to day life, just like a key lock on the window. I know that there is nothing that can be say to calm your concerns and at the end of the day, like any parent you want your kids to be in an environment where they grow up to be decent human beings and accepted by society. Good Luck. Having the two ovens makes perfect sense, as well as moving the microwave into the tower, instead of being under the island! Did you get the Technika oven that open side ways? Re: Building Henley Palace Lux Q1 5BR with MODs in West MEL 155Jun 05, 2017 5:16 pm Yes, the oven is with the left hand side, so that the door opens back onto the fridge wall and I can take things out and put on bench easily. I'm putting one final variation through this week that won't get included in loan as its already skyhigh. It includes cupboards above fridge. Re: Building Henley Palace Lux Q1 5BR with MODs in West MEL 156Jun 05, 2017 5:33 pm Nice...... It will make is so much easier to get out of the oven. I've got the same. I put a wine rack above my fridge - so that the alcohol that I cook with will be stored there or should I say that I drink whilst cooking , will be stored there.
