We were looking at land 10 - 15 minutes closer to the city but couldn't justify spending $60k or more for a smaller block. We love looking after my parents dog. He's always well behaved. Just loves to play all the time which can be distracting when working from home Our build thread with Smart Homes for Living in Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86092 Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2152Aug 16, 2017 6:08 pm Yup. Money unfortunately controls everything. I was looking at a block two stations closer to the city, but it was an extra 20k for a smaller block.. or with a house on the train line. I'm about as far from the city as you can be and still be considered 'metro'. I would have loved to buy in the new estates near my parents house, but I didn't have 500-700k just for land!!! At least this house is already appreciating. Aww. My mum has a border collie, she's only 12 months, lovely but unruly. She's coming to visit this weekend, she's not taking the loss of the cats or bunnies well apparently. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2153Aug 16, 2017 6:11 pm Exactly. The price rises per km closer seem to be rediculous! My parents dog sulks when we leave. My mum tells him my wife is coming and he sits at the door waiting for her Our build thread with Smart Homes for Living in Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86092 Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2154Aug 16, 2017 6:55 pm aloenyx Omg.. Foxtel is so ANNOYING. I just want to watch GoT. I thought it would be easy..but my Xbox 360 is apparently too old.. my TV doesn't have the capabilities.. and though I have chromecast I can't use it to flick GoT from my laptop to the TV. *Sigh* So have to watch my favorite show on the laptop with much less quality..Quite depressing. Other option is to go to my parents in a few weeks and just have a mega binge session since I'm recording it on their Foxtel (now if GoT had come out in April like its meant too..) I stream mine on go movies.... Building our forever home! Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2158Aug 16, 2017 8:55 pm I've always had Foxtel at mum and dads, so just use to it. I'm enjoying Netflix now.. although its strange watching so many episodes in a row.. and no commercials. Anxiety is the worse. I haven't eaten in two days.. no appetite.. have to keep forcing myself to at least drink something. I need a doorbell. XD People keep knocking on the door and I don't hear them.
