Woohoo! Coral Homes Avoca 25 in Gainsborough Greens Gold Coast Viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81406 I thought the exact same thing when I saw Charli's post! I feel like the two of us are twins, whenever one of us gets some progress, so does the other it seems. The gas line is installed, but they still have to do the meter.. but that should be less of a process as its typically done at this stage in the build. Hoping its done by end of next week (roughly takes 5 day according to the website), if so COO will be issued, bank can be engaged to do final valuation etc.. Left to do list Internal - Carpet - HWS - Appliances - Paint wardrobe doors - Flyscreens/door handles/toilet roll holders/etc - Split system - Alarm system External - Front fence (might be done *fingers crossed*) - Render of house and fence - Missing concrete - Gas meter - Levelling/site clean - Few odds and ends Defects - holes in wall, light switches, painting, cabinetry, etc. I'm optimistically hoping I might be able to move in in about 3-4 weeks, hopefully they finished front fence this week, then hopefully gas meter, concreting and render next week, plus hopefully PCI?? Then the inside stuff should be 1-2 weeks after we do PCI I hope.. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 38 of 27 weeks and counting 1469Jun 21, 2017 7:27 pm That's great news we are all getting some action this week, let's hope it keeps up. The meter should be able to go on in no time!! You really don't have much left to do! Fingers crossed you get keys during your leave 😀😀😀 Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 38 of 27 weeks and counting 1471Jun 21, 2017 7:41 pm Omg wow!!! That's bloody great news!!! Awesome news! Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 38 of 27 weeks and counting 1473Jun 21, 2017 7:58 pm Thanks all! I can't even explain how relieved I was when the builder told me. It was quite funny, I'd had enough and was going to finally email Origin to complain, but thought I better check with the builder that it wasn't done. I left a msg basically saying "I know its probably not done because you would have told me, but just want to check".. then about 20mins later I got a text.. and I was telling myself "dont get excited, its probably more of the same"... and then I saw "good news"..and I just did a little happy dance in the middle of the train. D Knowing my luck I'll get the keys the day I go back to work (but I don't mind XDD anyday is a good day to get keys). Boss "Dont look so happy your going on leave tomorrow" Me "Actually I'm mostly happy because my gas situation was sorted" Boss "Oh are you moving in on your holidays then" Me "No, few more weeks" Boss "Why dont you move your leave till after 'xyz' then" Me thinking *because you've been such a pain about my leave I didn't think you'd let me, plus its means I'd have to wait till September.. as you wont let me have time during xyz, which is all of July and August* Me "Oh its okay" Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 38 of 27 weeks and counting 1479Jun 23, 2017 8:11 pm Woohoo such a good feeling being on leave!!!
