Was meant to be $1000. I'm not complaining! I love exposed aggregate but not willing to spend extra on it. I think the charcoal will look good, that's what I'm getting so I hope it does My site was scraped today!! Time for my own thread I think don't know if I can be bothered though. Yes aggregate is beautiful, but was a bit pricey. I created an album on fb for our build and selected who on my friends list i wanted to share it with, its great seeing all the pics in the one place. Not sure about getting rid of mice though, Cass has bought two home so far (alive!) and let them go in the house.. so we've had to catch them and take them outside. Silly girl. I like mice though, had one as a pet once.. so I always rescue them from the kitties. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1209May 12, 2017 8:30 pm Charley We could do with a cat at the moment, we have a mouse in the house! I thought about getting a cat for this purpose, but I don't want to keep it confined inside, and don't want it roaming outside either lol Coral Homes Avoca 25 in Gainsborough Greens Gold Coast Viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81406 Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1210May 12, 2017 8:40 pm Aww your kitties are so cute! I would love a little kitty like Pandora Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1211May 12, 2017 9:01 pm My kitties will be indoor only at the new house, though Cass currently has freedom to go wherever.. but we've been here 20 years, dead end street, not near any main roads.. know all the neighbors..but new house is too dangerous, new area, trains, construction... but I will be building them a cat run down one side so they can go outside. Will be very interested to see the cat run. Would love one for my kitty but no idea what to do. Down the dead side of my house would be great but I don't think it will get much sun there. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1214May 13, 2017 2:21 pm I have two girls Cap You'll have to come meet them when I move. They are my babies. I dropped Panda on mum's lap and was like "grandma, can you please babysit" XDD I'll let you know how the DIY cat run goes Mon. Dad is going to help me put it up, I found a place that sells the cat netting and accessories cheaply, just a matter of how we put it together.. have some ideas. I'll let you know what it ends up costing as well. So bored. Can't leave my house because kitty cries and my parents get grumpy ;-; Spent the morning doing some more packing.. put together one box. There's really not much else I can pack up yet as I'm using it.. come on house. I moved my leave to the 5th of June, so this house better be ready by then!!! They've got 3 more weeks from this weekend.. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1215May 14, 2017 8:33 pm So ready to get out of this house!!! I can't wait to unpack in my new house. I went past the unit today, and omg there's a lot of boxes in there.. I don't even remember what I bought!! Will be like Christmas. Will call the builder this week and ask where the build is at. I'm desperately hoping that electrical fitout and carpets have been done last week... that will give me some hope. I may visit next weekend if he can confirm those are done, as I'm very curious about pendants and the carpet choice.. and also how it looks with the site cleaned. Also find out the results of some tests tomorrow.. hopefully something simple and nothing major required like surgery. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1216May 14, 2017 9:21 pm Fingers crossed for your tests Dawn, you don't need anything complicated at the moment Hope that your carpets and electrical were done this week. You're so close but it must be so frustrating at the moment! I need out of my house soooo badly. I am nearly 28, was not made to live with my parents & brother!!! I know exactly how you feel! Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1217May 14, 2017 9:30 pm Thanks Mon. It is very frustrating right now.. but I just keep surprising myself at what I can endure.. plus its hard to be grumpy when you have a snuggly Pandora asleep across your chest. But I will enjoy getting out of this house.. I need space, freedom.. not to be questioned on everything I do, everywhere I go, every dollar I spend.. I just can't wait.. and hopefully its only week away. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1218May 15, 2017 5:33 pm Results came back. I'm perfectly fine.... except for the excruciating pain in my upper abdomen everyday for the last 3.5 weeks. Doctor has no idea. Most likely stress ;-; definitely feeling stressed!!! Anyways, so builder called me today about the outdoor sensor lights. On the electrical plan there are 4 sensors, but I only supplied 2 external sensor lights... which is because from my discussion with the builder, I wanted one external sensor light on the corner of the garage.. and then on the quote it said owner to supply 2, so I did... but I didn't know where the second was going. I always wondered why there was a random cable on one of the front pillars... apparently light is suppose to go there So after first call, I agreed to two sensor lights at the front.. but after hanging up and thinking about it, I realised have only one light on one pillar would drive me nuts.. I wanted either a light on each pillar, or none. So I called back and told the builder to not put in any light, but apparently because of the cable already being there this was an issue.. so the builder said, let me talk to the guys and call you back in a few minutes.. no worries. Never calls me back, so I called him thinking I might have missed his call... nope, he says, no its all sorted. So no idea whats going to happen. Super stressed about it now. Decided to send a follow up email with my preference for one sensor over garage, one over back sliding door, and all other external lights to be standards, and nothing on the pillar. Hopefully he will confirm that to be the case. Also, should I be concerned that if they are doing the external lighting today... that electrical is only just happening? Was meant to be two weeks ago, then last week... suppose I should just be happy something is going on. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - Driveway questions 1219May 15, 2017 5:37 pm These are the sensor lights I supplied.. so I really don't want one on just one of my front pillars.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also on the electrical plan, it confirms the laundry access to roof should have been at the other end of the room.. hence the linen closet should have been full height. Anyways... just get this damn thing done. I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15265 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this? I am in SA 8 17041 Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built. Also have a… 3 11629 |
